Tired like I don't know what..!!

My aircon has been on the fritz for the past 3 nights now and I have been slowly gettin back to my roots... Hey I was born of a normal family and there were a lot of luxuries that I did not enjoy till a much later date. I am of course not afraid to say it as there is no shame in saying such things. It is only because now Sg is such that people always want to look like they are better than others that saying things like we were normal people seems like a bad thing. Of course, there are some who will purposely say that they had a simple and probably normal upbringing to ensure that they hit a note with the "normal" people, but hey... please do not think we are all stupid.... I will not name names or point fingers lah... But it is true... with the new generation of young ones, I am sure that not many are able to withstand hardship. Though they may pretend to be able to do so and or they may say that they can, but hey... like I said.. me no stupid.

Well beack to my story, so I carted in all the fans I have in my place and made do with what I could... That is what a "normal" person would do mah.... right? And I am waiting for the repair guys to come and have a look and then see if they can fix it and how much it will cost. I will not ask them to make an emergency trip just to fix my aircon as that will incur extra cost.... and for what?? I will not melt and die.

But it is interesting to see how far we have come and how difficult it is to go back to where we came from. During my young days, we all shared a common TV... so daddy was the one who decided what we should watch and when we should watch. Nowadays, the young ones have their own tvs in their room!!!! And also their own air con and so on.... By all rights, most parents do not think about how by giving their children everything, they are actually setting their children for a fall... Imagine one who has never ever.... ever had to do anything hard.... How do you expect them to be able to survive? They were brought up to be the first and they are used to being the first...in the end.. if they are not? Like my fengshui master mentioned.... he knows of a client who was rich beyond imagination and he lost it all. His daughter went nuts when it happened because she was so used to all the comforts... So ladies and gentlemen... please do not mistake the real world for the reel world or some lala land make believe world. You gotta be able to survive when the chips are down and you are faced with a straight flush when you are holding on to a four card pair. It is when you are at your bottom that you can say that you are a survivor and not "in theory" I can survive....
