Free Food???

I have to step into the fray too as I feel that we have grown too spoilt for our own good. There was a recent article about a food blogger who demanded free food after enjoying a buffet for 4, inclusive of his 3 frens... Hey... who the hell are we? Are we so miserable that we have to ask for free food?

This is the amazing thing I feel I really cannot understand about my fellow countrymen. Why do we feel so great about ourselves when we are actually just a small speck in the great big ocean? Compared to a lot of other countries, we are actually very small. Not many of our local talents have become legends overseas and our brands are also pretty insignificant in the global setting. So who the hell are we??? I think that if the blogger was even employed by the Michellin group to give his views of food, he would demand free travel just to go to a restaurant!!!

And in the end, who is the ne laughing? Outside people looking in and saying what idiots we are... Small little fries or flies trying to be smart... But how many of us are actually smart and how many are actually socially smart? Look at it this way, we try to bully everyone else, but we are such chicked when the chips are down. We try to blast and blow, huff and puff but in the end, we get no where... So who the hell are we? I do not post this in a cynical way, it is just a ponderance of our insignificance and yet our yearn to be someone we just are not. For me, I would like to be Mr. Nobody and Mr. Nothing and not be in the limelight. For being in the limelight may not be such a great thing.
