Isn't Life stupid???

Well ladies and gentle people, I find that some times life in Sillypore really stupid. I came back from an overseas biz trip, (I'm always on a trip nowadays) and found that a glass panel in my living room to be cracked!!! Don wori, it is not life threatening.... right now....

So I called up a few contractors... They said... "Are you crazy?" (Sounds like the phrase is being branded at me quite often now... circa a few blogs ago) Its the 10th storey u know??? (I still won tell you where I stay though...hahahah) Anyway, the damn glass is fixed to the frame and is really difficult to take out and put back in.

So being a normal follow the law Sillyporean, I called up the HDB. The officer came down and said that it is normal "thermal expansion and contraction"..... Of course lah... don tell me kenna possessed by ghosts and the glass crack...... Then he said that he would pass the matter to the town councils as they are in charge of maintenance of the properties. The officers came down and said that I had to find my own contractor to do the repair as it was within my own home.... which leaves me to my initial dilema..... So stupid and such a waste of time. If the HDB just stuck a sign on every surface.. "This is on the inside and it does not have any warranty.... U bot it and u fix it!" I will be most happy to fix it... but then again being asked if I am crazy, I think it is really stupid....

So my brothers and sisters out there in internet land... One day you will have to come back and love in Sillypore land... so be fair warned.... You will have a lot of hassles in and out of your house.

Better to buy landed and at least you will feel more proud and also be able to fix the damn window as no private landed property is of such a height that when you ask someone to fix it for you, the contractor will not say.... Its the 10th storey.... Are you crazy?
