The Yapping Chihuahua
I seem to have a certain trait. I am a yapping Chihuahua. You know the little monsters who yap until the bark jangles your nerves and your brain keeps reverberating with the unstoppable "yapyapyap". I am like that, but perhaps a bit more.
It takes a hell of a lot to start me off, but when I get started, I will not stop. I think that it is my nature, generally cool and calm, but once provoked, the response will be close to MAD or mutually assured destruction. It is my motto in life, if I want to do something, I will do it well. If not, then I will not waste my time. This is also my nature for adversaries. This nature has taken care of me well in the past, as it saw me through the hardships of army daze, (eh... being short is kinda difficult because the 6 foot wall did not take into account a guy who is only 1.5m.... weighed down with SBO and Helmet and rifle and havig run a god aweful 600m to the bloody wall, no matter how tall you are, the wall is TALLER!!!) It has also seen me through many travels, like once when I was on a biz trip to NY, I took a cab from the airport to New Jersey. Being not from around those parts and having only been there once, I relied on written information from the hotel and the address to get there. And to my ever great luck, I got an african american who did not speak english well. Doom.... man..... So we were going up and down some stupid highway looking for the hotel, with the driver getting more and more irritated. I could not help as it was dark and I really did not know where I was. The mumblings and grumblings grew to a cresendo and I just said "STOP the F***ing cab!!! I got off, went to the front and started screaming at the driver.... WHAT the F*** is your F***ing problem!!??!! I am a tourist, I don't know how the F*** to get to the F***in hotel.... WHAT the F***!!!"" In th end, the driver backed down because I was asking to be sent to the nearest police station and so on.
Thats the yapping chihuahua for you ladies and gentlemen. I do not get agitated often, but if and when I do, not much can stop me from doing my utmost damage. But to be frank, the chihuahua has brains and in hindsight, that was a bloody silly move on my part. The driver could have whipped out a pistol and capped me on the spot. But seriously though, we Singaporeans just love making noise out of everything and anything and in the end, we are still nothing. We are really small fishes in a really big sea. We may think we are rich, but there are tonnes of people who are richer. We may think we are powerful however, if someone pulls out a gun or a parang and puts it on your head, you are dead no matter how loud u shout.
It is just like the village headman from China. He may be big wig head honcho over there, but here, he can't spit anywhere he wants, he can't smoke anywhere he wants and also can't do everything he wants. He can bluster that he isa village headman, but so what? Case in point, when we go overseas, people will ask so what?
So this little chihuahua who is only 1.5m tall believes in one thing, walk softly, speak softly..... but carry a F**ing BIG STICK!!!! People may ask what stick? The stick is the willingness to go all the way. Touch me and I will rip your eyes out, the eyes being connected to your optical nerve and all the way to your skull... I will rip all that out. You will not lose anything if you feel that there is nothing to lose. There are many ways to rip out someone's eyes, not just by shouting and so on. And also ladies and gentlemen, i do believe in taking my time. Sometimes, you do not need to do anything, just wait for the enemy to keel over and die on his own.... It is so much more fun that way.
The reason for today's story is I guess because I see quite a lot of people being damned proud of themselves. And when something goes wrong, they make so much noise. Everyday, when I drive, people do not give way, or try to push their way into your lane and so on. And if you have a look at all the car clubs, there will be the usual complaint by someone of being bullied by another car. There was a story of a driver of a Toyota Wish who thought his car was an F1 car. Who challenged other people on the roads and so on. Why can't we follow rules and also learn to live and let live?
No need to put on airs and or to do anything stupid.
Anyway, here is the Yapping Chihuahua signing out for now..... Cheers and Peace Out
