Life is interesting
This is the way I see things. Even if times are bad.... and they are really bad, I try to see things that will make me laugh and things that will inspire me and make me want to carry on. I guess this comes from havg lived abroad for quite a number of years and having to survive on my own.
I was really short of money for quite a while. I was also wondering how the hell I will survive till the next pay day. The reason for this, I was on too many business trips and had used up all my reserve cash an whatever I made was going to my wife. Then the really expensive Hong Kong trip came and it tipped me over. I have several markers (not illegal money lending hor) with some people, but if they d not want to pay up, I will take it as a bad loan. However, I am surprised at a new fren named W. He took my suspension, my front mount inter-cooler and several other stuff and yet he has been really diligent in paying up. For me, I am not the type to ask for money. When Kitty wanted to use my bonnet, I told her to take it. Thats because I was no gonna use it again and it would just be taking up space on my bomb shelter. And if my bomb shelter was full, then where would I hide if I were to have an argument with my wife. Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen, having a Japanese wife is no joke hor.... First of all, I have to support 2 houses, plus flying her up and down. Many will say.... "Ask her to stay here permanently lah"..... Please do not joke hor... Singapore is so much different from Japan and cannot even compare in terms of scenery, people and so on. So how can I ask her to come over. It will be asking here to come to hell.
Anyway, so back to my sad sob story, I was quite surprised when a few of my friends paid me for the stuff they took and now I have more than enough to tide me through. But to be frank, bad times come and go. It is a question of whether we can tide ourselves through the bad times and come to the good times. Mine will come soon. I am sure of that.
So thatis why I said that life is interesting. I heard from a long lost fren, who went through a lot of shit this year. Business was bad for him and also his luck was not too good. And it mad me aware that we all go through good times and bad times. Sometimes, things do seem pretty down and there is no escape, however, if you hang in there long enough, things will deinitely turn for the better. No matter how bad things are, challenge yourself, see how far worse things can get and once you have reached the bottom, things will only turn up.
Actually, to put things on a lighter note, its really fun sometimes speaking to Christians. In the good old days of Perth, we had mormons who went around trying to speak to you about God... or their form of God..... Mind you, I have nothing against any religions. However, whatever you tell them, they will still try to engage you in some form of talk on God. If you said you were a non believer, they would try to convince you t believe. Ifyou said you believed, they would also try to convince you to believe in their form of Christianity. So it ended up that once a mormon was spotted, everyone on the street would hide in their houses, keep the dog shut up and the children in the freezer.... oops I meant quiet.
So yesterday, I was speaking with another old fren. She is G and she is a Christian. So we were talking about having children and how it is God's will..... Yea right.....!!! Anyways, I told her that I have tried God many times in my trials and tribulations of this year. The first time I tried I had an engaged tone, then the next time I tried, I as put on hold for over an hour. The last time I tried, I was transferred to voice mail. Just joking lah hor.....
But G was really pissed off. But she is used to me lah.... She knows how much I joke. That is the way I do things. I can be a hard assed miniature chihuahua and yap and growl... but only o be a joke myself. I would rather joke and make everyone happy and then have them do my job for me.
Anyways.... today is Friday and I am switching off man.... I need a break.......
Cheers and Peace out.
