My fren Jewie

Just read the blog of my fren Jewie fish http://jewie.blogspot.com/.

He is one of the few Singaporeans who have really settled down in Thailand and made good. I mean many people who go overseas want to make a fortune and or to have fun. However, he is one who has worked hard and shown his worth.

To be truthful, our talent and also our brains are the only really exportable commodity. I did it for 5 years in Japan and it has paid off handsomely. Now if there is any Japanese based business, I am the one people look for.

Some people think that they can go overseas and make a fool of themselves. They will raise their voices and complain here complain there. But then it is really a shameful thing lor.

But back to the main subject, Jewie (not his real name of course) is pure talent when it comes to work. And when it comes to programming he is the "MAN". I know of some people who have nothing and know nothing and yet want to be something and this really causes a lot of problems for the people they work with. Just like in his blog, he mentions of a "manager" who really drove everyone up the wall.

How come some people think that they are worth so much is really beyond me!! I worked in Japan and was a nobody. Yet I rose to become the Personal Assistant to God.... ooops I mean the Managing Director and what I said meant that he said it. When you come from nothing and pretend to still be a nothing, then when you bite.... people will go "Who the F**k was that??" It is so much better than trying to be a somebody and be someone great and then have people laugh at you or say "Who the F**k was that?" "He was such an idiot"

I guess that this is me lah. But then the world is made up of so many types of people.

Cheers for now

My Car's Transformation

My car has become a truly half f**k Evo. I changed the extractor, the pulley, the cables, the sparks, the muffler and so on. Now the car is so powerful, that I do not need to step too hard on the accelerator because it is now really light. A slight step and the flies. Ram it down and the rocket takes off.

But of course, it is no where near a real Evo and for LTA's information hor, it is all street legal hor.... we brought it for certification liao.

I guess that for most guys, they either spend their money on booze, chicks or gambling or cars. For me, it is the car.

Now instead of a roar, it growls menacingly. My air filter is that of an Evo, so at 3,000rpm, it literally roars. Then with the new extractor, it growls even at low rpms. The catalyc converter is also high performance one, so it makes the air go through better. There is a cyclone in the air pipe and the muffler is a Remus. It positively growls. I am not like some Ah Bengs who have great big pipes that announces the presence of their cars from a mile a way. I would prefer mine to creep up to you, growl and leave and you would be left going "What the F**k was that???"

But to be frank, there is no need to speed in Sg. Even with speed, there is no space. But then it is every guy's wet dream to have a power machine. Mine is a power machine in sheep's clothing because now people will never know what the car is.

So I am having my wet dream and enjoying. And for the cops and LTA, there is nothing illegal about my mods hor.

Deep Impact (The Horse)

I was in Japan for the Emperor's Cup. Over there, horse racing is more for the appreciation of the horse rather than for the bet itself. Imagine getting up at 4am, leaving the house to catch the 5 am train to the Race Course. Then lining up like Palapa Goondu's and once the gate is open, we had to rush to get tickets to go in and then rush to find seats. Imagine 100,000 over people at the same place.... Yes you got it right my friends, one hundred thousand over people.

The main race was the Emperor's Cup with the great horse Deep Impact running. His odds were 1.1 and 1. Meaning to say, if you chose him to win, for every dollar you would get only 10 cents. It was even money if he placed. So That means that you would not win anything no matter how much you bet.

Most of you Singaporeans will say "Cheyyyy, then go for what!!!" But it is the sight of a great horse, running and winning the race 4 times in a row, that is worth all this hassle. Imagine that the horse came out of the gates awkwardly, he was last for the first 3 turns, then came up the field, over took it and came in first again.... all with a race track record.

Most of you money faced Singaporeans will say aiya.. no money no talk, but sometimes to see a work of art is really worth the effort. I managed to walk away from the whole race with no loss and it was a fun day.

I must say that the Horse Deep impact has left a "Deep impact" on me, and luckily it did not leave any impact on my wallet.. hehehehehehehe
